PS2 Controller Tester (mirror) is a homebrew app by jbit used to test PS1 and PS2 controllers. The app supports original, dual analog, DualShock, and DualShock 2 controllers and can test all buttons — with the exception of the "Analog" button — as well as thumbsticks and both vibration motors.
Usage
- By pressing any button on your controller, the screen will display a value for the corresponding button. For analog buttons, such as the pressure-sensitive buttons on the DualShock controllers, it will show a value from 0-255.
- If you hold
and move the left analog stick downwards, you can increase the vibration level of the strong (left) motor. Moving the left analog stick upwards will reduce the vibration level. - If you hold
and press down on the D-PAD, you can enable or disable the vibration of the weak (right) motor. - Controllers can be disconnected and swapped out without powering down the console.
