Disabling Sony Ads in Multitasking Menu

When you press the PS button to open the multitasking menu, there are advertisements displayed at the bottom of the screen. With a simple modification, you can disable those advertisements. This process was found by /u/DarkBlack711 on Reddit.
- Enable HENKaku.
- Open molecularShell/VitaShell and navigate to
ur0:shell/. Delete thewhats_newfolder and restart your console. - Once you are back at the home screen, press the PS button a couple of times until it downloads and displays the advertisements once again.
- Navigate to
ur0:shell/whats_new/np/with molecularShell/VitaShell and inside that folder you will seewhatsnew.xml. Delete it and create a folder namedwhatsnew.xml. - Restart your console and you can now use the multitasking menu without advertisements.
If you rebuild your database in recovery mode, you will need to repeat the process.

A homebrew utility with many useful applications built into it. Normally if you follow an up to date modding guide, VitaDeploy will already be installed. However, since it is such an important utility, it is mentioned here as well.
