Developer bryanthaboi has expanded the gen1Recomp project, officially adding native PC port support for the beloved Game Boy Advance classics, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.

Originally built as a native PC recreation for earlier generations, gen1Recomp now allows gamers to experience a wide lineup of classic Pokémon titles directly on PC—complete with modern enhancements and quality-of-life upgrades entirely unavailable on original hardware.

Key Features of the PC Ports

1. Performance & Display: Enjoy configurable FPS limits, V-Sync, high-speed gameplay, and custom performance presets alongside widescreen battle layouts.
2. Modern Controls: Full remappable support for both keyboards and controllers, plus touch controls and screen rotation for mobile builds.
3. Visual Upgrades: Choose from multiple color palettes (Super Game Boy, Game Boy Color, classic green, etc.) and apply screen filters like pixel grids, shadows, and glare.
4. Built-in Mod Manager: Easily install, share, and manage mods for graphics, audio, custom quests, and rule changes with automatic update support.
5. Multiplayer & Tools: Features LAN link play for trading and battling, an online lobby for tournaments and spectating, plus robust save-editing and recovery utilities.

Note: To play these titles, users must supply their own legally obtained ROMs, as recompilation builds do not include original game assets.
