Titanfall 2 Gets a Full Virtual Reality Overhaul

Respawn Entertainment’s 2016 masterpiece, Titanfall 2, has received a massive new lease on life thanks to a comprehensive virtual reality mod. Developed by community modder CircuitLord, the full VR conversion allows players to step directly into the boots of a Pilot and the cockpit of a towering mech.

Far from a simple camera tweak, the mod fundamentally reworks the game's mechanics for virtual reality. Players can expect full 6DOF head tracking, independent weapon aiming, and overhauled mech controls. One of the most highly praised features is the addition of manual, interactive reloading for the game's entire weapon roster—including a highly satisfying, gesture-based reload for the iconic Wingman revolver.

Exhilarating Gameplay—If You Have the Stomach for It

Titanfall 2 is legendary for its fluid, high-velocity movement system, blending wall-running, sliding, double-jumping, and grappling into a seamless combat loop. Translating that intense agility into VR creates an incredibly immersive experience, but it also comes with a significant caveat: this mod is not for those easily affected by motion sickness.

The sheer speed and verticality of the gameplay push the boundaries of standard VR comfort. While CircuitLord has included a snap-turning option to help mitigate nausea, the fundamental mechanics of whipping through the air on a grapple hook demand strong "VR legs."

How to Play

Currently, the VR mod is built exclusively for the game's acclaimed single-player campaign. It is available to download for free via CircuitLord’s mod installer. For those who do not already own the base game on PC, it is currently available at an 85% discount.

Players who want to support the ongoing development of projects like this can contribute directly to the creator. Alongside this impressive mod, CircuitLord is also actively developing an original VR title called No Shot, designed as a spiritual successor to the popular multiplayer game Echo Arena.
