The CXA2043Q chip is a common failure point in N3 chassis Sony monitors.

Symptoms

The chip generally fails instantly, even with a snap sound, and may make the image smaller and wobbly on the edges or make it look like it is losing sync. The issue applies to the on-screen menu as well as the actual displayed image.

Solution

The only solution is to replace it with another CXA2043Q chip. However, they are hard to source a legitimate one, and there are tons of fake ones online. There are reports that some fakes will work, or you may need to go through a handful of them to get one that works, but even a legitimate one may eventually fail again.
