Late in the life of the Sega CD, Sega consolidated the two DACs and audio op-amps into a single chip labeled as 315-5619. It is utilized in all CDX systems, the Aiwa Mega CD, and some very late Funai-made model 2 Sega CD systems.
It replaces the Sanyo LC7883 (CDDA DAC), Sanyo LC7881 (PCM DAC), both NJM3403 quad op-amps and the NJM3404 dual op-amp. However, it is unknown what the performance characteristics of the integrated op-amps are.
The pinout here is traced from a late Funai Sega CD model 2, CDX may differ with regards to pins used, as a result, the exact pinout may not be 100% correct, particularly pins 3, 4, 7, 8, 12, 18 , 23 and 37.
Op-amps 1 and 2 are wired in a Sallen-Key configuration, which results in pins 3 and 4, along with 7 and 8 being shorted on the motherboard, with no way to distinguish which is the output, and which is the inverting terminal of the amp.
