The PSIO is an ODE (Optical Drive Emulator) that allows you to emulate your PS1's optical disc drive and run games without using the disc.

Troubleshooting

Game boots but black screens or does not have audio

  • If your game image is multiple .bin files and a single .cue file, you will need to combine them into one. You can either use the PSIO Systems Console or a tool like Binmerge to combine the .bin files into a single .bin.
  • Your game may use CDDA audio and therefore require a .CU2 instead of a .CUE file. If you have a multi-bin game, you can use the PSIO Systems Console (File > Convert CUE/CU3 to CU2) to create the image with CU2 or if you have a single .bin and .cue file, you can use PSIO-Helper to convert the file by placing psioHelper.exe in the directory with the BIN/CUE files and running it.
