Apollo Save Tool is an application to manage save-game files, trophies, and licenses on the PlayStation 3.

The apollo-ps3 homebrew app allows to download, unlock, patch and resign save-game files directly on your PS3. It can also unlock and resign trophies, backup/restore licenses, and create PS2 Classic images.

Features & Options Overview

Apollo's Main Menu has the following options.

Trophies

Here, you can back up or import trophies.

USB Saves

Here, you can manage the save data you've put on the currently connected USB drive, either from a PC or by copying it from the HDD by using the Copy save game option.

HDD Saves

Here, you can manage all the save data on the internal drive, back it up, resign it, remove copy protection, or export it for certain situations.

Online DB/FTP Server

To use this, you need an active internet connection; it will give you access to save files shared by the community. Alternatively, if you have an FTP Server, you can set it to show up instead of the Online DB by setting an FTP URL in settings and changing the Online Saves Server.

User Tools

Here, you can activate your local account by allowing Apollo to generate an act.dat file with a fake PSN ID. You can also convert PS1/PS2 save files to .PSV format, convert/resign .PSV save files, importing/exporting RIF/RAP licenses, importing PS2 memory card images, and encrypting PS2 ISO files to work on the PS2 Classics Placeholder app.

Activate PS3 Account

This option allows you to fake activate accounts on your PS3 with a fake PSN ID and fake act.dat file. This allows you to use content from the PlayStation Store without having to login with a real account.

Network Tools (Downloader, Web Server)

Local Web Server (full system access)

This option allows you to browse the internal storage and download files. The address is http://yourps3ip:8080.

URL link Downloader (http, https, ftp, ftps)

This option allows you to download a file from a URL to the /data/ path.

Extract Archives (RAR, Zip, 7z)

This option allows you to extract available archives in the /dev_hdd0/temp path to their own folder in that path.

Convert PS1/PS2 saves to .PSV format

This allows you to convert any PS1 or PS2 save files in various standard formats currently on the USB drive to a .PSV file, which is the encrypted save file format used for PSOne Classics and PS2 Classics.

Convert/Resign .PSV saves

Self-explanatory. Allows you to convert .PSV save files to standard save file formats for the PS1/PS2, and resign other .PSV files to your console.

Export /dev_flash2

Allows you to copy the contents of the /dev_flash2 partition to a USB drive.

Import/Export Licenses

Allows you to export all the .rif licenses from the console's hard drive as RAP files.

On the contrary, you can also import RAP licenses from the USB drive to be signed as .rif licenses if the console is activated.

Import PS2 raw memory cards

Allows you to import standard virtual memory card images (such as .VM2, .VME, .BIN, or .VMC) to become PS3 VMC images.

PS2 Classics: Export & Decrypt BIN.ENC images

If you happen to have downloaded PS2 Classics games from the PlayStation Store, this setting will allow you to dump their encrypted ISO image into a standard non-encrypted ISO file, in order to be used with a PS2 emulator, a real PS2, a CFW PS3 without relying on the PS2 Classics Placeholder app, etc.

PS2 Classics: Import & Encrypt ISOs

This setting allows you to encrypt any PS2 ISO files stored on the HDD (dev_hdd0/PS2ISO) or USB drive (dev_usb000/PS2ISO) into a .bin.enc image, so that they can be used with the PS2 Classics Placeholder. This is essential for PS3HEN, as it doesn't support booting PS2 ISO files directly.
