This page lists every known video cable for the Xbox 360, along with any additional information if applicable.

Exclamation-circle-fill.svgPhat consoles can use S cables and vice versa (whereas the 360 E can only use its composite cable or HDMI), as the differences are primarily in color (generally, gray versus black) and the omission of TOSLINK.

Composite

    • Came included with Xbox 360 S consoles when brand new.
  • RCA to 3.5mm Cable

    • TRRS Pinout (starting from tip): L, R, Ground, Video
    • Official cable came included with an Xbox 360 E, but was not sold separately. Many third party cables were made that are compatible with it, such as those commonly sold for the iPod Photo/Color/Video (as the "iPod AV Cable") and the Raspberry Pi 1+/2/3/4.

S-Video

    • Includes yellow plug for composite video, which can be used alternatively or simultaneously to S-Video.

YPbPr

    • Comes with an optical audio port on the connector, as the original Xbox 360 did not ship with one built-in.
    • Since these cables came with most (non-Core) original Xbox 360 models, they are very common.
    • Includes yellow plug for composite video, which can be used alternatively or simultaneously to YPbPr (in SD modes only).

Any quality HDMI cable will work fine. It's recommended to use one with a ferrite bead on it to prevent interference that may cause signal drop-outs.
