Blue Screen of Death | Console remains stuck on a blue screen when booting/charging/etc...

This fault occurs usually as the result of BGA failure under the CPU or the RAM. Typically, this fault will occur after physical damage is incurred, such as being dropped and the console may also have damage to the case/frame. The console keeps it's CPU and RAM underneath a metal heat spreader, that you'll have to remove to get access for a reflow/reball.

Before undergoing any repair, you can attempt to confirm the issue is the BGA by putting pressure on the CPU or the RAM when turning on the system. You can simply just use your thumb or a small clamp to increase the pressure on the CPU, and while keeping that pressure, turn the system on. If the system boots successfully with pressure applied, then the BGA is likely cracked and you are physically holding the connections together. At this point, you can reflow or reball the CPU to repair the BGA. If no success, try putting more pressure (be careful not to crack the CPU, or cause further damage) or try putting pressure on one or both of the RAM chips. You can also try to flex the board slightly.

Putting pressure on the CPU/RAM is not a permanent fix. You WILL cause issues with warping the board. You should only perform a pressure test temporarily, and undo it before undergoing further repairs/tests.

If a pressure test yields no results, then try heating the chips with a hot air station for around 15 seconds, and attempt turning the console on. If the heat test causes the system to boot, then that is also indicative of BGA failure. Should neither cause the system to boot, then the CPU/RAM is likely faulty or the issue lies elsewhere on the system.
