Hekate is a GUI bootloader for the Switch that allows booting payloads, firmware tools, etc. It can be accessed using a known exploit in the Switch's Tegra X1 SoC Called Fusée Gelée and RCM (Recovery mode)

Features

  • Allows for booting into Stock firmware, SysNAND custom firmware, EmuNAND custom firmware, custom launch arguments, or Linux and Android
  • Features a payload launcher which can load useful utilities such as:
    • LockpickRCM: A tool that allows dumping and backing up of the encryption keys of a Switch system, even with Mariko models.
    • TegraExplorer: Can run custom scripts and view the EMMC and SD filesystem, in addition to having the ability to dump eMMC/emuMMC firmware
    • hwflytoolbox & Picoflytoolbox: has useful tools for updating and backing up modchip firmware
  • Fully configurable graphical interface with touchscreen and Joycon input support
  • Launcher style, background and color themes
  • eMMC/emuMMC backup/restore tools
  • SD Card Partition Manager: Prepares and formats SD Card for any combo of HOS (Sys/emuMMC), Android and Linux
  • emuMMC Creation & Manager: Can migrate and fix existing emuMMC
  • Switch Android & Linux flasher
  • USB Mass Storage (UMS) -- Converts Switch into a SD Card Reader, allowing fast file transfer over USB to from a PC (Recommended for adding files to Switch)
  • USB Gamepad -- Converts a Switch with attached Joycons into a USB HID Gamepad
