NX-Shell is a multipurpose file browser for the Nintendo Switch, developed by joel16. It supports various file types whilst retaining the basic fundamentals to that of a standard file manager. The design layout for NX-Shell was inspired to LineageOS's file browser for Android.
On September 18, 2018, GBAtemp announced that they would be doing a Homebrew Bounty competition where users would submit homebrew applications that they've developed for the Switch in hopes to win cash prizes. NX-Shell was presented in the GBAtemp Homebrew Bounty 2018, which won by 1st place.[1]
