Modder fromsoftserve has officially rolled out Version 1.07 of their popular PC remaster project for Bloodborne, delivering substantial graphical enhancements for PC players experiencing the game through emulators or native ports.

This latest release follows closely behind Version 1.06, which introduced high-resolution reflectance maps, bug fixes, and upgraded material textures across iconic locations like the Hunter’s Dream, Central Yharnam, Cathedral Ward, Hemwick, and Old Yharnam. Building on that foundation, Version 1.07 addresses minor quirks in Old Yharnam while introducing a major visual upgrade to daytime Hemwick.

Exploring Other Popular Bloodborne PC Mods

For players looking to further customize their experience, the PC modding community offers several alternative overhauls:

  • Bloodborne Reborne: Released by Serotoniner, this complete visual overhaul reworks textures, lighting, and material properties across the base game, DLC, and Chalice Dungeons to make every area feel distinct.

  • Bloodborne Magnus Opus: A restoration project focused on bringing back content cut from the official release.

  • First-Person Mod: Allows players to experience the entire game from a brand-new perspective.

  • HardBorne: Designed for veterans seeking an extra layer of challenge beyond the vanilla difficulty.

Most of these graphical and gameplay modifications can be utilized on PC using the shadPS4 emulator. Additionally, development continues on community-driven online modes aiming to introduce cooperative and PvP features.

  • BB PC Remaster features:
-Enable dynamic shadowcasting for the entire game
-Modifies the in-game Anti Aliasing to an unused version that I find works better (if you want to still use reshade based AA, you can now disable the in-game AA via the shadps4 patch menu)
-Modifies the shadows range and visibility.
-Pointlights added for street lamps, wall lamps, candles, torches, etc, that all previously didn't have any illumination tied to them.
-Parallax occlusion mapping added to surfaces throughout the game (WIP and will increase with each version)
    -Higher resolution textures
-New shininess maps made for most surfaces, 2x or 4x in resolution, made from the newly upscaled albedo textures
-I've started looking at NPC textures and boss textures as well. So currently ludwig, cleric beast, and papa G have higher res shininess maps. I modified Gehrman's shininess map so he's less drenched in oil. If you don't want these changes, just don't copy the "chr" folder when installing the mod. Easy!
