PC gamers can finally experience one of the PlayStation 3's greatest blockbusters on Windows. An unofficial, native PC port of God of War 3 Remastered has officially been released, allowing players to experience Kratos' epic conclusion from the opening cinematic to the final boss fight.
Built on Fan Project Foundations
This new PC release is built upon Supermedo’s Windows port framework, which takes inspiration from deadinside28’s Bloodborne PC project and integrates specific God of War III fixes from cuesta4’s shadPS4 fork. Fully functional in-game menus, audio files, cutscenes, and voice tracks ensure a complete playthrough.
Controls & Performance
One of the standout features of this port is native keyboard and mouse support straight out of the box, complete with full key rebinding options. Alternatively, players can plug in a DualSense, Xbox controller, or any standard gamepad.
Early performance reports highlight impressive results. On a mid-range system featuring an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 32GB of RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, the game averages 144 FPS at 1080p, with peaks reaching up to 240 FPS. Furthermore, utilizing FSR at 4K resolution yields a steady average of 108 FPS.
Custom Launchers and In-Game Tweaks
The accompanying custom launcher provides tools for managing saves, configuring mods, updating files, and handling error reports. In-game, players can toggle an overlay (pressing Insert on a keyboard or R3 + L2 on a controller) to monitor frame rates, hardware utilization, and resolution upscaling. Cheats—such as infinite health, magic, and custom orb multipliers—can also be enabled directly through the menu.
Note: Because this project is still in its alpha stage, players may encounter minor bugs or visual glitches. Running the port requires an original copy of God of War III Remastered (CUSA01623) updated to version 01.02.
