The Sony PlayStation 4 is a console from the eighth generation of video game consoles. The console was launched in North America on November 15th, 2013, followed by Europe (November 29th, 2013) and Japan (February 22nd, 2014). Three major models were released in its lifespan: the "fat", "slim", and Pro; the latter of which is capable of checkerboard-rendered 4K.
